Nancy Lou Fitzpatrick, age 73, resident of Tulsa, entered into the Gates of Heaven on Saturday morning, July 29, 2023 at her home in Tulsa, OK. She was born on December 12, 1949, in Stockton, CA to Nelson Robert and Nima Lucille (Batstone) Parker.

Nancy was a graduate of Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, OK. She furthered her education at Tulsa University and Tulsa Junior College, where she received a certificate in child development. Her passion for nurturing young minds led her to a fulfilling career at BattleCreek in Broken Arrow, where she served as the Preschool Director for 13 years. Her dedication to the children she cared for was evident in her work, and she was cherished by the many lives she touched. Nancy retired in May 2022 from Security Bank, where she was a HR Representative. She loved helping the employees at the bank and was heavily involved in planning employee events such as the annual picnic.

On September 25, 1976, Nancy married the love of her life, James Darvin Fitzpatrick, in Tulsa, OK. Their love story was one for the ages, filled with laughter, shared dreams, and an unbreakable bond. Nancy's love for her family was unparalleled. She loved hosting family gatherings and holidays, creating a home filled with joy, love, and delicious food. Her family was her life, and she was theirs.

Nancy was a woman of faith, regularly reading her Bible and actively participating in her church, BattleCreek in Broken Arrow, OK. Her faith was a guiding light in her life, providing her with strength and comfort throughout her journey.

Nancy is survived by her devoted husband, Jim Fitzpatrick of Tulsa, OK; her son, Ryan McKnight and wife Chelsea of Owasso, OK; her daughters, Suzanne Wiles and husband Shawn of Broken Arrow, OK, and Caroline Pitts and husband Chet of Rogers, AR; five grandchildren, Ben McKnight and wife Casey, Jaide Wiles, Syrina Stone, Drake Edens, and Macallan McKnight; and two great-grandchildren, Hallie and Jameson McKnight. She is also survived by her sister, Judy Duke and husband Danny of Guthrie, OK; her brother, Danny Parker and wife Diana of Tulsa, OK; her sister-in-law, Margaret Parker of Tulsa, OK, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Nelson Robert and Nima Lucille Parker, her brother, Bobby Parker, and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Darvin and Delores Fitzpatrick.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, August 2, 2023, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home in Broken Arrow, OK. A service celebrating Nancy's life will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at BattleCreek in Broken Arrow, OK. (For those wishing to pay their respects and see Nancy, please come by the funeral home on Wednesday evening). A private family graveside ceremony will be at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK.
