Karen Anne Haner, age 51, resident of Hulbert, OK passed away tragically on Thursday evening, July 20, 2023, in Hulbert, OK. She was born on September 6, 1971, in Gore, OK to Ralph and Rebecca Ann (Ross) Watts.
Karen was a proud graduate of Gore High School. She carried her dedication to her community into her professional life, where she worked as a house manager at ResCare. Her commitment to her work was a testament to her caring nature and her desire to make a positive impact on those around her.
On August 26, 2000, Karen married, Bryan T. Haner. Karen's love for her family was evident in everything she did, from cooking family meals to planning gatherings. She was a devoted mother to her four children and grandmother to her four grandchildren. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Karen had a zest for life that was infectious. She enjoyed fishing, shopping, and crafting beautiful pieces of jewelry. Her creativity was a reflection of her vibrant spirit and her ability to find beauty in the simplest things. She had a unique ability to turn ordinary moments into cherished memories, and her presence brought warmth and light to every room.
Karen is survived by her husband, Bryan Haner; her mother, Rebecca Ann Hayes of Gore, OK; her father, Steve Hayes of Gore, OK; her children, Sierra Smith of Tahlequah, OK, Marcus Smith of Gore, OK, Cheyenne Haner of Coweta, OK, and Bryan Haner, Jr. of Hulbert, OK; her grandchildren, Rhiannon Mar, Hunter Lowrey, Cambri Lowrey, and Sage Lowrey; her brothers, Robert Watts, Dennis Watts, and Ralph Watts, all of Gore, OK; her sister, Monya Birdtail of Gore, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, bonus children, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Watts, and her brother, Christopher Watts.
A memorial service celebrating Karen's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 28, 2023, at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK.
