Zondra W. Morgan, age 78, resident of Coweta went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday morning, May 9, 2022 at her home in Coweta, Oklahoma. Zondra was born on March 21, 1944 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Robinson “RA” and Cornelia (Mize) Kirk. She attended Broken Arrow Schools and was a 1962 graduate of Broken Arrow High School. Zondra then attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah and Oklahoma State University where she received a master’s degree in business education. She married the love of her life, William Lynn Morgan on August 27, 1964 in Broken Arrow. Zondra worked as an educator at Tulsa Junior College and Broken Arrow High School. She also owned and operated Arrow Flowers in Broken Arrow from 1992 to 2001. Zondra was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Broken Arrow. She enjoyed being a part of her church choir, gardening, traveling, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Zondra was very involved with the Friends of the Library, and she loved playing bunco with her ladies’ group. Her family was her major source of pride and joy, and her smile could light up any room that she entered.
Zondra is survived by her husband, Lynn Morgan of Coweta, Oklahoma; her two sons, David Morgan and his wife Shelley of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Darren Morgan of Nowata, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Nick Morgan, Nathan Morgan and his wife Alyssa, Hayley Kruse and her husband Devin, and Macey Morgan; one great grandson, Wesley Morgan; her brother, Rob Kirk of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; her nephew, Zach Kirk; her niece, Brandy Ross and her husband Matt; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Zondra was preceded in death by her parents, Robinson “RA” and Cornelia Kirk.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta with the family present from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Services celebrating Zondra’s life will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 13. 2022 at the First United Methodist Church, 112 E. College St., Broken Arrow, Oklahoma 74012. Pastor Larry Varvel will officiate the service. Zondra will be laid to rest at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma.
