Yvonne J. Shotts

Yvonne J. Shotts, age 92, of Broken Arrow, OK (formerly of Southhaven, MS) passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, July 1, 2014 at the Clarehouse in Tulsa, OK. She was born on April 13, 1922 in Milan, TN to Ray Barnette and Clara Mae (Burns) Jackson. Yvonne and Leo E. Shotts were united in marriage and he later preceded her in death. She worked at CM Gooch Foundation in Memphis, TN as a secretary until she retired. Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, Leo E. Shotts, her parents and a twin sister, Rachell Wanza. Yvonne is survived by 1 daughter, Joan S. Somerville of Broken Arrow, OK; 1 sister, Mathilde J. Dougan of Fayetteville, GA; 2 grandchildren, Eric Swartz & wife, Sarah and Leah Jackson; 6 great grandchildren, Jennifer Jackson, Jonathan Jackson, Eartha Swartz, Aisha Swartz, Mae Swartz and Amon Swartz; and other relatives. There are no services planned for Yvonne. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Yvonne to the Clarehouse, 7617 S. Mingo Rd., Tulsa, OK 74133.
