Wynema Lee Smith, age 80, of Coweta passed away peacefully Thursday morning, March 21, 2013 in Coweta, OK. Wynema was born on July 8, 1932 in Okmulgee, OK and was the daughter of Robert Finley and Mary Jane (Cassidy) Smith. Wynema was a 1949 graduate of Corpus Christi High School in Corpus Christi, TX. Wynema worked at Cassidy Shoe Shop and Wasson's as a salesperson until she retired. Wynema was a member of the Church of Christ in Coweta and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed chickens, being around children and helping the elderly. She loved attending sporting events. Wynema will be missed as a loving and caring sister, aunt and friend. Wynema is survived by her brother, Ray Smith and wife, Charlotte, of Coweta; her sister, Viola Bell "Dolly" Denton and husband, Jimmy, of Coweta; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends. Wynema was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and three brothers. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Monday evening, March 25, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the Church of Christ in Coweta, OK with Rex Shrum officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 PM at Okmulgee Cemetery in Okmulgee, OK. Pallbearers are Randall Smith, Adam Price, Hunter Rasberry, Kelley Fousel, Joseph Denton, Jim Phillips and Brian Pickett.
