Wilma L. Vaughn, age 90, of Broken Arrow, OK passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, December 3, 2015 at Broken Arrow Nursing Home in Broken Arrow, OK. Wilma was born on April 11, 1925 to John Bea and Myrtle (Denton) Hawkins in Broken Arrow, OK. She was a 1942 graduate of Broken Arrow High School. She and William R. Vaughn were married on August 27, 1953 in Broken Arrow, OK. Wilma was a devoted homemaker for most of her life. She enjoyed painting, sewing, camping, reading, collecting depression glass and she loved spending time with her family. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband in 2005, William R. Vaughn, her parents, 1 sister and 2 brothers. Wilma is lovingly survived by 1 daughter, Lynda Blythe of Broken Arrow, OK; 1 son, Johnny Vaughn and wife, Glenda of Hoschton, GA; 2 sisters, Dircie Rhodes of Arlington, TX and Iwana Phillips of TX; 4 grandchildren, Keith Blythe, Bekki Blythe, Rachel Haight and Jeff Vaughn; 4 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. A memorial service celebrating Wilma's life will be at 11 AM on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Dr. Kent Shirley officiating.
