William Marshall Ecker Jr., also known as “Bill” or “WM”, resident of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma departed this life on Friday morning, August 5, 2022 at his home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Bill was born on May 4, 1955 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to William Marshall Ecker Sr. and Ruby (Holcomb) Ecker. He was a 1973 graduate of Union High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Bill and Gloria Jean Bowers were soulmates for the last 38 years. Bill worked for Hasty Bake as a painter, then Dresser Rand as a painter, then Boeing as a painter, and retired from Spirit Aerosystems. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Bill is survived by his wife, Gloria Jean Bowers-Ecker of the home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his children, Richard Bowers and wife Valerie of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Donnie Bowers of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Brian Bowers and wife Tammy of Coweta, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, Brittany Wickert, Tiffany Bowers, Tabitha Bowers, Whitney Bowers, Haley Baldwin, Shelby Bowers, Bailey Bowers, Brianna Bowers, and Jacob Bowers; thirteen great grandchildren; his siblings, Masha Scott and husband John of San Antonio, Texas, Geneva Wiatrek and husband Paul of San Antonio, Texas, Becky Davis of Houston, Texas, Cathy of Houston, Texas, Richard Ecker and wife Leslie of Virginia, Jerry Ecker and wife Sylvia of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Scott Kneupper; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William Marshall Ecker Sr. and Ruby Ecker, his daughter-in-law, Stacy Clark, his brother, Ronnie Ecker, his sisters, Sharon Ecker and Jackie Ecker, his cousin, Roy Hess, and his great grandchildren, Brody and Ellianna.
Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 11,2022 at Brown Funeral Home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Services celebrating Bill’s life will be at 3:00 PM on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
