William E. 'Billy' James

William E. "Billy" James, age 62, of Coweta was born on February 13, 1954 in Santa Ana, CA to Bobby and Barbara (Guss) James. Billy passed away on Saturday afternoon, August 27, 2016 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. Billy was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He and Jeanette Davis were married on June 25, 1994 in Tulsa, OK. Billy worked at G.C. Broach as a saw operator until he retired. He was a member of Coweta Baptist Church. He enjoyed bowling, tinkering in his work shed and spending time with his special dog, Maggie. Billy was preceded in death by his father, Bobby James. Billy is survived by his wife, Jeanette James; his mother, Barbara James of Coweta, OK; 3 children, Donna Huff (Josh Shelton) of Porter, OK, Mark James (Beth) of Springdale, AR and Casey McFarland (Tony) of Locust Grove, OK; 2 brothers, Tommy James (Kathy) of Coweta, OK and Jim Bob Crump (Pam) Longview, TX; 3 sisters, Debbie Woodward (Mike) of Coweta, OK, Dee Dee Berger of Fairland, OK and Sharon Blair (Joey) of Broken Arrow, OK; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Viewing will be from 12-8 PM on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8 PM. Services celebrating Billy's life will be at 1 PM on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Coweta Baptist Church in Coweta, OK with Pastor J.C. Fulton officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK. Pallbearers are Dylan Gazaway, Jeremy McFarland, Joshua McFarland, Jeffery James, Chris Cervantes, Timmy Rohrback and Bobby James.
