Wanda Mae White, age 78, of Oologah, OK, a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt, passed from this life on Monday evening, April 29, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. Wanda was born on September 8, 1934 in Coweta, OK and was the daughter of Walter Green and Effie Lee (Victory) McMillian. Wanda received her High School Diploma in Durant, OK after having her two children. Wanda and Fred James White were united in marriage on July 3, 1950 in Tulsa, OK and he preceded her in death on April 4, 2011. Wanda worked as a sales representative at Continental Industries until she retired. She was a member of Garnett Church of Christ in Tulsa, OK. Wanda enjoyed crocheting, baking, painting, working crossword puzzles, spending time with her family and she loved babies. Wanda is lovingly survived by her two daughters, LeAnn Damewood of Oologah, OK and Connie Douglas of Broken arrow, OK; one sister, Barbara Coppage of Broken Arrow, OK; one brother, Kenny McMillian of Hugo, OK; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Fred James White, her parents, Walter Green and Effie Lee McMillian, one daughter, Sharon and one brother, W.L. The family will greet friends on Thursday evening, May 2, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services for Wanda are scheduled for 11:00 AM Friday, May 3, 2013 at Wright-Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Marvin Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. Pallbearers are Chris Douglas, Chad Douglas, Coy Douglas, Sean Callahan, Shane Callahan, L.J. Stone, Amanda Damewood and Alex Damewood.
