Wanda Mae Rector

Wanda Mae Rector, age 73, longtime resident of Coweta passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 in Tulsa, OK. Wanda was born on February 1, 1942 in Larue, AR. She was a 1961 graduate of Coweta High School and a 1973 graduate of Tulsa Vo-Tech School of Practical Nursing. In 1959, Wanda and Richard Rector were united in marriage. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse at St. Francis Hospital until she retired in 2002. Wanda enjoyed camping, reading, going to craft fairs at War Eagle and going to the casino. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Elva Baker and 1 brother, Jimmy Baker. Wanda is survived by husband of 56 years, Richard Rector of the home in Coweta, OK; 3 children, Doug Rector and wife, Tracy, of Coweta, OK, Sarah Rector of Stillwater, OK and Rex Rector of Tahlequah, OK; 1 granddaughter, Journey; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Viewing will be from 10 AM - 8 PM on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at the funeral home with the family greeting friends from 6 PM - 8 PM. Funeral services celebrating Wanda's life will be at 2 PM on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at the Coweta Church of God of Prophecy in Coweta, OK with Pastor D. Frank Hughes officiating.
