Wanda Lee Dalton

Wanda Lee Dalton, age 80, of Coweta (formerly of Verdigris, OK) a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt, passed away peacefully Monday morning, February 25, 2013 at her daughter's home in Coweta, OK. Wanda was born on July 26, 1932 in Verdigris, OK and was the daughter of Albert Neal and Stella Ava (Neal) Dorsey. Wanda and Joseph Kenneth Dalton were united in marriage on February 21, 1970 and he preceded her in death on January 20, 2002. Wanda was a member of the Verdigris Assembly of God. Wanda enjoyed knitting, doing crafts, collecting antiques and watching her granddaughter play softball. Wanda is lovingly survived by her son, Jim Dalton and wife, Sherry, of Broken Arrow; her two daughters, Regina Dobson and husband, Jim, of Coweta and Karen Donette Scott of Coweta; 4 brothers, Rev. Buford Dorsey and wife, Dorothy, Albert "Chick" Dorsey and wife, Ellen, Rev. Don Dorsey and wife, Norma and Billy Dorsey and wife, Lavern; 1 sister, Rev. Ima Jean Butler; 7 grandchildren, Shelbie Dalton, Mark Madden and wife, LaDonna, Brennin Madden, Lexus Dobson, Christian Madden, Lena Broad and husband, Kevin and Jaccie Lamb and husband, Collin; 4 great grandchildren, Destiny, Dillan and Tyler Lamb and Rachel Sutton; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Kenneth Dalton, her parents, 2 brothers, Arnold "Jody" Dorsey and Wayne Dorsey, 1 sister, Rema Scott, 1 brother-in-law, Rev. Wesley Butler, 1 sister-in-law, Bea Dorsey, 1 great grandson, Kyle Sutton and 2 nephews, Rev. Randy Dorsey and Gary Scott. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon, March 2, 2013 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Monday, March 4, 2013 at the Verdigris Assembly of God in Verdigris, OK with Rev. Michael Abel officiating. Burial will follow in Park Grove Cemetery in Broken Arrow, OK. Pallbearers are Rev. Glenn Dorsey, Kevin Butler, David Dorsey, Kendall Dorsey, Terry Dorsey and Brad Dorsey. Honorary Pallbearers are Cliff McCoy, Ronnie Scott, Chuck Scott, Jerry Watson, Marty Gould and Steve Robinson.
