Virginia Imogene Treat

Virginia Imogene Treat, age 88, lifelong resident of Coweta entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Saint John Hospital in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.  Imogene was born on July 15, 1933 in Coweta, Oklahoma to Carmon Marshall and Edith (Herd) Londagin.  She was a 1951 graduate of Coweta High School and attended Draughan’s Business College.  Imogene held numerous jobs throughout the years and retired in July of 1998 as a machine operator at BS&B Safety Systems in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  She was a faithful member of the Shiloh Faith Center.  Imogene was strong in her faith and had a true servant’s heart.  She loved reading her Bible and praying for her family and anyone in need.  Imogene married the love of her life, Arlis A. Treat on September 6, 1955 in Coweta, Oklahoma.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, cooking, crocheting, embroidery work, playing the accordion, and singing.  Imogene’s favorite time of the year was Christmas and she always read the Christmas story to her family.

Imogene is survived by her four children, Vickie Parker of Coweta, Oklahoma, Randy Treat and his wife Judy of Coweta, Oklahoma, Danya Sweet and her husband Steve of Texas, and Marsha Clinton and her husband Bill of Coweta, Oklahoma; nineteen grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Imogene was preceded in death by her husband, Arlis A. Treat; her parents, Carmon Marshall and Edith Londagin; and two brothers, Vernon Londagin and Evodene Londagin.

Visitation will be from 12:00 – 8:00 PM on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, Oklahoma with the family present from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.  Services celebrating Imogene’s life will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Crosspoint Baptist Church in Coweta, Oklahoma with Rev. Bill Clinton officiating.  Imogene will be laid to rest at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma.
