Violet Sue Davis

Services celebrating the life of Violet Sue Davis will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the Coweta Assembly of God in Coweta, OK with Pastor Steve Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Fields Cemetery in Porum, OK. Viewing will be from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Brown Family Funeral Home. Violet Sue Davis, age 67, resident of Coweta went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at her home in Coweta, OK. Sue was born on February 14, 1951 in Tulsa, OK to Rufus Alvis and Oakley Daisy (Adams) Clifton. She attended school in Webbers Falls, OK. Sue married the love of her life, Charles Ray Davis on November 11, 1966 in Stratford, CA. She worked as a nurse aide at Oxford Home Health until she retired. Sue was a faithful member of Coweta Assembly of God. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Sue is survived by her husband, Charles Ray Davis of the home in Coweta, OK; one son, Charles Dewayne Davis of Coweta, OK; one daughter, Lori Wisdom and husband, Nick of Coweta, OK; one brother, Euell Clifton and wife, Mary Ann of Porum, OK; seven grandchildren, Lisa Reed, Michael Thompson, Shelby Huffman, Curtis Huffman, Cody Wisdom, Josh Wisdom and Kendra Wisdom; two great grandchildren, Hailey and Toby; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus Alvis and Oakley Daisy Clifton, one brother, Roy Clifton and one grandson, Christopher Lynn Davis. Pallbearers are Darin Campbell, Steven Clifton, Wesley Reed, Stacy Potts, Scooter Potts and Waymon Potts. Family and friends may share memories online at www.brownfamilycares.com.
