Verlin James Meadows, age 73, resident of Wagoner, OK, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, March 25, 2024, at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. He was born on March 21, 1951, in Coweta, OK to Jacob and Maxine (Dodson) Meadows.
A proud 1969 graduate of Coweta High School, Verlin went on to establish a fulfilling career as a machinist at Dresser-Rand. Verlin's passion for hunting and fishing often led him to the serene landscapes of Oklahoma, where he found tranquility and happiness.
He is survived by his daughters, Mindy Foster (Elmer) and Lorie Phillips (Keith), both of Coweta, OK; his four grandchildren, Mandy Blair (Tyler) of Wagoner, OK, Mattrick Blair (Hunter) of Wainright, OK, Mason Blair of Wagoner, OK, and Brittany Stevenson (Matthew) of Coweta, OK; his great-grandson, Miles Blair; his brothers, Robert Meadows (Reva), George Meadows (Pat), and Curtis Meadows, all of Coweta, OK; his sister, Janice Martin (Dwight) of Haskell, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends to honor Verlin's life will be held from 4:00-6:00 PM on Friday, March 29, 2024, at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, OK. There will be no formal services held.
