Vera Gean Taber of Coweta, age 80, a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and aunt, passed away Sunday morning, March 31, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. Vera was born on April 17, 1932 in Joiner, AR and was the daughter of Charlie and Carrie (Albert) Snider. Vera and Jesse Allen Taber were married on November 12, 1949 in Arkansas. Vera was a homemaker for most of her life and was a member of the Church of God. Vera enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren and she loved her dog Charley. Vera is survived by her children, Sharon Clark and husband, Dan, of Broken Arrow, OK, Connie Patty and husband, Bob, of Coweta, OK, Twilla Allison and husband, David, of Broken Arrow, OK, Tammie Beyer and husband, Jerry, of Tulsa, OK and Mike Taber of Bixby, OK; her sister, Patsy Sedman of Cave City, AR; 17 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Vera was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Donnie Taber, one sister, Katherine and two brothers, Carl and Calvin. A graveside service for Vera will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK with Marion Weeks officiating.
