Vera Lee Morrow

Vera Lee Morrow, age 81, lifelong resident of Coweta, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday morning, October 4, 2022 at the Clarehouse in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Vera was born on July 20, 1941 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Ralph Oliver and Beatrice Irene (Wilson) Gilbert.  She attended Coweta Schools and was a 1959 graduate of Coweta High School.  Vera married the love of her life, Norman Lewis Morrow, Sr. on June 23, 1967 in Arkansas.  She worked as a secretary at Westinghouse Electric for 36 years until she retired.  Vera was a faithful member of the Coweta Church of God of Prophecy.  She enjoyed mowing her yard, sweeping, and working outside in her flower beds.

Vera is survived by two granddaughters, Sarah Morrow of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Tealey Leathers and husband Nick of Jay, Oklahoma; seven great grandchildren, Oden, Titus, Barrett, Colton, Cambre, Clayton, and Cayden; one great grandson, Elijah; her sister, Doris Newman and husband Herman of Coweta, Oklahoma; her brother-in-law, Dwight Keel of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; her niece, Towana Morton; her nephews, Rodney Newman, John Keel, Ralph Keel, and Clint Keel; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Vera was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Lewis Morrow, Sr., her parents, Ralph and Beatrice Gilbert, her son, Darryl Wade Morrow, her sister, Loretta Ann “Pete” Keel, and her great grandson, Camden.

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Graveside services celebrating Vera’s life will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 7, 2022 at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma with Pastor Larry Duncan officiating.
