Truman Honeycutt, age 89, resident of Coweta was born on May 3, 1931 in Stigler, Oklahoma and was the son of Kirby and Lettie Honeycutt.  He passed away on Thursday morning, December 31, 2020.

Truman married the love of his life, Myrtle Patricia Honeycutt.  He served in the Army and was stationed in Korea for three years.  When he was discharged, he worked at different jobs until he went to work for Meadow Gold and Borden Milk Company until he retired after 33 years working there.

Truman is survived by his wife, Myrtle Patricia Honeycutt of Coweta, Oklahoma; his grandson, Chris Honeycutt; his granddaughter, Kira Honeycutt; his great granddaughter, Chassidy Honeycutt; his five daughters, Ann Honeycutt Fixin, Verna Carmichael, Mona Lisa Honeycutt, Collena Cary, and Julie Starkey; his three sons, Stan Honeycutt, Randy Honeycutt, and Truman Honeycutt; four brothers, Orville, Lawrence, Kenneth, David; four sisters, Doris, Deloris, Cathy, and Marilyn; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Truman was preceded in death by his parents, Kirby and Lettie Honeycutt; his daughter, Linda June; eight brothers, Charles, Doyle, Duey, Herman, Earl, Pete, Kirby, and Larry; two sisters, Bernice and Alleane; and his grandson, Brentin Carmicheal.

Viewing for Truman will be from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta.  Services celebrating Truman’s life will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Truman will be laid to rest at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
