Tom R. Pfrimmer

Tom R. Pfrimmer, age 69, of Coweta passed away on Monday morning, July 18, 2011 at his daughter's residence in Muskogee, OK. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle. Tom was born on December 2, 1941 in Muskogee, OK to his parents, Elmo and Virgie Pfrimmer. He graduated from Muskogee High School and then went on to attend at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK where he received his Master's Degree. Tom and Barbara Ellen Hall were married on November 22, 1972 in Muskogee, OK and she preceded him in death on May 25, 2006. In 1973, he moved from Ponca City, OK to the Coweta area. Tom was an English teacher for Coweta and Broken Arrow Public Schools for 30 years until he retired in 2003. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Ponca City, OK, the Broken Arrow Elks Lodge and the Muskogee Boat Club. Tom enjoyed boating and he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Tom is survived by his seven children, Mike Baum of Coweta, OK, Robert Baum of Coweta, OK; Beverly Sarty of Coweta, OK, Brenda Baum of Coweta, OK, Betty Buckley of Muskogee, OK, Tiffany Powers of Utah and Misty James of California; his sister, Kay Franklin of Baton Rouge, LA; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Tom was preceded in death by his wife and his parents. Funeral Services for Tom will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Wright Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Greg Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. Family and friends may sign the guestbook on-line @ www.wrightfh.net.
