Thomas C. Schenck, age 62, resident of Coweta, OK passed away peacefully, Sunday afternoon, May 26, 2013 at Select Specialty Hospital in Tulsa, OK. Thomas was born on May 10, 1951 in Fairmont, Minnesota and was the son of Theron Edward and Thelma (Schroedel) Schenck. Thomas and Glenda VanGilder were united in marriage on October 12, 1974 in Tulsa, OK. He worked at Chevron as a Turban Specialist Mechanic and at Coweta Public Schools. Thomas enjoyed being around people. He will be missed as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. Thomas is lovingly survived by his wife of 38 years, Glenda Schenck of the home; his two sons, Otto Thomas Schenck and wife, Beka Buster, of Coweta, OK and Nathan Daniel Schenck and wife, Annie, of Coweta, OK; one brother, Ted Schenck of Alaska; two sisters, Sally Weber of Iowa and Sue Winter of Iowa; three grandchildren, Mason Phillips, Nolan Roberts and Jada Schenck; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Theron Edward and Thelma Schenck. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, May 29, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services for Thomas are scheduled for 10:00 AM Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the First Baptist Church, 15296 State Hwy. 72, Coweta, OK 74429. Pastor Michael Hamm will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. Pallbearers are Jeremy Griffith, Barry Barnett, Richie Langston, Brian Beaty, Jerry Love and Jack McClure. Honorary Pallbearers Rick Green, Doy Pledger, Wayne Rowe, Glen Peck, Sam Keel, Joe McClure, Terry Teshaw and Wayne Bauwn. The family of Thomas C.
