Thomas W. Reid

Thomas W. Reid, Sr., age 85, formerly of Coweta, Okla. passed away Monday morning, October 7, 2013 in Ozark, Ala. Thomas was born on July 17, 1928 in Kansas City, Kans. and was the son of John and Gertrude (Evans) Reid. Thomas married Wanda June Duncan on January 14, 1950 in Tulsa, Okla. and she preceded him in death on February 4, 2011. He served in the United States Army. Thomas worked at American Airlines as an Aircraft Mechanic for over 30 years until he retired. He enjoyed collecting antiques, movies and spending time with his grandchildren. Thomas is survived by two sons, Thomas Reid, Jr. and wife, Lisa, of Dothan, Ala. and Lawrence Reid of Ponca City, Okla.; one brother, Richard Reid of Houston, Tex.; one sister, Jane Reid of Santa Cruz, Calif.; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, two brothers and one sister. A graveside service for Thomas is scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, October 11, 2013 at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, Okla. with Rex Shrum officiating.
