Terry grew up in Coweta, where he would eventually meet and marry the love of his life, Joyce Mae Gilbrech, on January 8, 1971. Together, they built a life filled with joy and cherished memories. A proud graduate of Coweta High School in 1969, Terry's work ethic and skilled hands led him to a fulfilling career as a welder. These activities not only brought him closer to nature but also provided countless stories that he loved to share with friends and family. His adventurous spirit and infectious laughter will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. A man of faith, Terry attended the Coweta Church of God of Prophecy and had a very loving church family.

He is also survived by his siblings, Jay Potter, Jr. and wife Phyllis, and Raymond Potter and wife Barbara, all of Coweta, OK. His life was enriched by the presence of numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Jay Potter, Sr. and Lurline Potter, and his siblings, Oren Potter, Margaret Woodward, Betty Denton, Darlene Wilson, and Kathy Peterson.
