Tammy Rene McCoy, age 50, Coweta resident went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 5, 2019 at her home in Coweta, OK. Tammy was born on May 22, 1968 in Shamrock, TX and was the daughter of Jimmie Lee and Sharon Lee (Watson) Purdy. In 1988, she married the love of her life, Jerry Dwayne McCoy, Jr. in Fort Smith, AR. She was a devoted homemaker who loved caring for her children. Tammy was a member of Metro Pentecostal Church in Tulsa. She enjoyed gardening and was dedicated to her children, family, and church. Tammy is survived by her husband, Jerry McCoy, Jr. of the home in Coweta, OK; her parents, Jim and Sharon Purdy of Sallisaw, OK; four children, Kailen McCoy of Broken Arrow, OK, Allyson McCoy of Broken Arrow, OK, Jodi McCoy of Broken Arrow, OK, and Melissa McCoy of Coweta, OK; three brothers, Jimmy Purdy of Broken Arrow, OK, Chris Purdy and wife, Carla of Little Rock, AR, and Michael Purdy and wife, Vicki of Bixby, OK; one sister, Julie Aranda and husband, Angel of Satellite Beach, FL; six nieces and nephews, Kayla Aranda, Noah Purdy, Mason Purdy, Christopher Purdy, Nicholas Purdy, and Destiny Purdy; and numerous cousins, other relatives, and friends. Graveside services celebrating Tammy's life will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK with Pastor Don Martin officiating.
