Sylvia Lea Seigel

Sylvia Lea Seigel, age 82, resident of Broken Arrow went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at her home in Broken Arrow, OK. Sylvia was born on October 27, 1934 to Roy Clement and Pauline (Barton) Boomershine in Wauneta, KS. She worked as a cashier at Kress, Gibson's, K-Mart and Wal-Mart throughout her career. In the later years of her life, Sylvia loved babysitting her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting, gardening, cooking and she loved her dogs. Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister, Betty Pitts. Sylvia is survived by 4 children, Steve Seigel of Osage, OK, Pam Cox of Broken Arrow, OK, Mike Seigel and wife, Marianne of Mounds, OK and Karen Seigel of Broken Arrow, OK; 2 brothers, Leon Boomershine and Carolyn Browning of Tulsa, OK and Donald Boomershine and wife, Helen of Wann, OK; 2 sisters, Ella Seigel and husband, Jerry of Neosho, MO and Bonnie Cavaletto of Coffeyville, KS; 7 grandchildren, Michael Seigel, Gabriel Seigel, Jacob Cox, Shauna Cox, Cody Cox, Lauren Stertefeldt and Audie Seigel; 3 great grandsons, Brody White, Jace Cox and Zane Cox; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Viewing will be from 12-8 PM on Monday, August 14, 2017 and services celebrating Sylvia's life will be at 2 PM on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Rev. Jerry Seigel officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK. Pallbearers are Gabriel Seigel, Jacob Cox, Cody Cox and Audie Seigel.
