Sybil A. Taylor

Sybil A. Taylor, age 82, of Coweta, OK passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon, October 8, 2015 at Broken Arrow Nursing Home in Broken Arrow, OK. Sybil was born on December 2, 1932 to Roy and Melissa (Horton) Goodman in Osage, OK. She and William Jessie "Bill" Taylor were married on June 23, 1948 in Miami, OK and he preceded her in death in 1999. Sybil was a devoted homemaker who loved caring for her family. She enjoyed gardening, roses, fishing, cooking, crocheting and she loved visiting with people. Sybil was preceded in death by her husband, William Jessie "Bill" Taylor, her parents, Roy and Melissa Goodman, 1 daughter, Patricia Taylor, 2 brothers, Stanley Goodman and Ivan Goodman and 3 sisters, Evelyn Cypert, Ruth Blair and Wanda Cypert. Sybil is lovingly survived by 2 daughters, Brenda Milford of Sand Springs, OK and Janice Smith and husband, Roger of Beggs, OK; 1 son, Gary Taylor and companion, Dana Weins of Coweta, OK; 2 brothers, Harold Goodman and wife, Barbara and Clifford Goodman; 10 grandchildren, Roger Dale Smith Jr., Melissa Devilbiss and husband, Danny, Angie Reviss and husband, Tony, Ricky Wolfe, Rodney Wolfe, Rhonda Vincent and husband, Ronnie, Jack Milford Jr., David Milford and wife, Ronda, Shane Milford and Marshall William Taylor; 25 great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Viewing will be from 12-7 PM on Monday, October 12, 2015 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home. A graveside service celebrating Sybil's life will be at 10 AM on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery.
