Suzette Stevens

Suzette Stevens, resident of Jenks, Ok, went to be with her Lord & Savior on Thursday, May 19th, 2011 at 11:25 p.m. She was 56 years, 5 months & 6 days old. She was born on December 13, 1954 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She lived in New Mexico & Colorado before moving to Tulsa in 1964 at the age of 9 with her parents, Mickey & Susan Joyce and her 8 year old sister, Jacque. Suzette was married to her beloved husband, David Stevens on February 14, 1994. Suzette was a career woman and worked for Tulsa Abstract and Firstitle as an Escrow Officer. She was much respected within her industry. Suzette and Dave enjoyed many trips and adventures to Mexico & Florida and loved traveling. She was diagnosed with the disease on September 28, 2010. She put up a valiant fight, with great dignity and grace for the 233 days of her battle. Her beloved husband, parents, sister and brothers fought right along beside her. Suzette is survived by her husband, Dave, of the home; her mother and father, Mickey & Susan Joyce of Coweta; her sister, Jacqueline Cody of Broken Arrow; her brother, David Joyce of San Fransisco, CA; and her brother, Marc Joyce of Owasso. Extended family of: Jessica Haliburton of Tulsa, Oksana Joyce & Aric Joyce, both of Owasso, Kelly Head of Glenpool and Cole Stevens of Tulsa. A celebration and memorial service of Suzette's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at the Coweta Assembly of God, 29707 E. State Highway 51, Coweta, OK 74429. Pastor Steve Lee will officiate the service. The family of Suzette Stevens entrusted her care and service to Wright Funeral Home, 210 S. Broadway, Coweta, OK 74429, (918) 486-5515. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Grace Hospice. A special thank you to the many, literally around the world, who prayed for her. She was very appreciative and aware of those prayers. Life for this family will never be the same without our beloved Suzette.
