Sue Stone-Boyd

Sue Stone-Boyd of Coweta, age 94, a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, August 26, 2012 at her home in Coweta, OK. Sue was born on February 2, 1918 in Porter, OK and was the daughter of William Reeves and Sarah Evelyn (McCollough) Lipp. Sue was a graduate of Porter High School. She was a long time resident of the Porter and Coweta areas. Sue and Thomas Ralph Stone were united in marriage and he preceded her in death. She then married Charles Boyd and he also preceded her in death. Sue was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Porter. Sue enjoyed animals, mosaic artwork, doing needle work, crocheting and afghans, and playing dominoes and computer games. Sue is survived by her daughter, Peggy Hughes and husband, Bryan, of Coweta; her son, Sonny Stone and wife, Sharon, of Coweta; her step-daughter, Sherry Guess of Porter; her step-son, Larry Boyd of Newport Beach, CA; her sister-in-law, Jan Stone of Porter; five grandchildren, Jeff Hughes, Sonne Diane Hoover, Janet Stone-Tucker, Kathy Stone and Ben Stone; seven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands and one uncle, Bill McCollough. A graveside service for Sue is scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Greenwood Cemetery in Porter, OK with Rev. Bobby Jenkins officiating.
