Broken Arrow

Steven Ray Guilfoyle, known affectionately as Steve to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. He was born on June 10, 1966, in Fort Scott, KS to Dorothy Jean (Leonard) and James Edward Guilfoyle. Steve's zest for life and his caring nature touched the hearts of all who knew him. He was a beacon of joy and kindness in the lives of his loved ones.

Steve was a proud graduate of Broken Arrow High School, class of 1985. Steve's early love for fishing reflected his appreciation for nature and the simple pleasures of life. As he grew older, his interests expanded to include a love for playing bingo on Saturday nights, a hobby that brought him much joy and a sense of community.

Steve's green thumb was well-known among his family and friends. His love for plants and dedication to taking care of them mirrored the way he nurtured his relationships with those around him. Steve's home was a sanctuary filled with lush greenery, a testament to his patience and gentle touch.

Family was the cornerstone of Steve's life. He is survived by his loving mother, Jeannie Wild of Broken Arrow, OK; his sisters, Kim Cook of Broken Arrow, OK and Sheri Younger and husband Brian of Broken Arrow, OK; his brother, William "BJ" Wild and wife Abbey of Broken Arrow, OK; his nephews and nieces, Jake Cook, Logan Cason and husband Nick, Spencer Wild, Jesse Guilfoyle, Asha Millinder, and Makayla Millinder; and his great-nephew, Calvin "CJ" Mendez. Steve’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of numerous other relatives and friends who were fortunate to have known him.

Steve was preceded in death by his stepfather, Bill Wild and his nephew, Dusty Yocham.

Steve's companionship with his beloved dog, Shady, was a source of comfort and joy in his life. Their bond was a beautiful display of loyalty and affection, and Shady was a constant presence by Steve's side through many of life's adventures.

As we say goodbye to Steve, we hold tight to the memories he has left behind. His legacy of love, care, and selflessness will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know him. Steve's journey on earth may have ended, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched.
