Stanley Mitchell "Stan" Fanning

Stanley Mitchell "Stan" Fanning, age 63, resident of Coweta passed away on Thursday afternoon, April 19, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK surrounded by his family. Stan was born on August 11, 1954 to Monroe and Velma (Robins) Fanning in Tulsa, OK. He was a 1972 graduate of Coweta High School. Stan worked as a Car Mechanic for Ford, Whitty Automotive and Greg's Auto. He also owned his own Tractor business and was a Truck Driver. Stan married the love of his life, Kathy Jean (Shoemaker) Fanning on November 3, 1990. He enjoyed shooting guns, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the Oil Capital Rod and Gun Club in Coweta. Stan was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Velma Fanning. Stan is survived by his wife of 27 years, Kathy Fanning of the home in Coweta, OK; 4 children, Michelle Chadwick and husband, William of Mounds, OK, Tabitha Clark and husband, Jason of Terlton, OK, Bridgette Keifer and companion, Kurt of Claremore, OK and Franklin Powell, II and wife, Christina of Mannford, OK; 1 sister, Lisa Serzy and husband, Berry of Coweta, OK; 15 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 nephew, Dusty Serzy; 1 niece, Savannah Serzy; 1 great nephew, Gavin Serzy; and numerous other family members and friends. Viewing will be from 9 AM - 8 PM on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 and Wednesday, April 25, 2018 with the family present on Wednesday evening to greet friends from 5 -7 PM. Services celebrating Stan's life will be at 10 AM on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Coweta Assembly of God in Coweta, OK with Justin Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, OK. Pallbearers are Chris Thomas, Greg Edwards, Russell Gadlage, Bobby Singleton, Russell Slater and Leroy Hooks.
