Sonya Marie Hill

Sonya Marie Hill of Coweta, OK, age 70, a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt, passed away peacefully, Sunday morning, December 15, 2013 at her home in Coweta, OK. Sonya was born on June 9, 1943 in Huntington Beach, CA and was the daughter of Carlos Benson and Naomi Nellie (Dollar) Barton. She worked at Wal-Mart in Broken Arrow, OK in the Produce and Lawn & Garden Departments for the past 13 years. Sonya was a member of Coweta Assembly of God. She enjoyed gardening, going to garage sales, antiques, reading her Bible and spending time with her family and church family. Sonya is survived by 6 children, Shay Lynn Tool & husband, Terry, of Grand Junction, CO, Kevin Devon Yocum & wife, Wendy, of Moore, OK, Charise Denel Yocum of Tulsa, OK, Audra Jean Yocum of Coweta, OK, Roger Dale Yocum & partner, Marvin King, of Tulsa, OK and Jeffrey Todd Hill & wife, Amanda, of Coweta, OK; 1 daughter-in-law, Donna Jackson of Mustang, OK; 3 brothers, Melvin "Mike" Barton & wife, Denise, of Tulsa, OK, Carlos "Toby" Ray Barton of Coweta, OK and Rocky Barton of Coweta, OK; 5 sisters, Donna Weins of Haskell, OK, Judy Fowler of Coweta, OK, Sylvia Barton of Haskell, OK, Barbara Roberts & husband, Keith, of Tulsa, OK and Betty Jones & husband, Steve, of Tampa, FL; 18 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Sonya was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons, Rocky Eugene Jackson and Finis Marvin "Little Dude" Yocum, Jr. and a grandson, Justin VanAllen Yocum. A memorial service for Sonya will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Coweta Assembly of God in Coweta, OK with Pastor Steve Lee officiating. Honorary Pallbearers are David Adams, Rick Barton, Rocky Barton, William Marvin King, Mike Barton and Toby Barton.
