Shirley Doile Simmons, age 71, longtime resident of Coweta, OK went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday afternoon, March 25, 2011 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle. Doile was born on January 31, 1940 in Ada, OK to Bill and Opal (Smith) Simmons. He was raised in the Ada area and graduated from McLish School in Fitts Town, OK. Doile and Paula Dawson were married on November 3, 1987 in Parma, MO and they began a happy life together in the Coweta area. He worked as a supervisor at the Ford Glass Plant in Tulsa for 28 years until he retired in 2005. Doile was a member at the Family Worship Center in Catoosa, OK. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Doile will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Doile is lovingly survived by his wife of 23 years, Paula Simmons of the home; one daughter, Lisa Huddleston and her husband, Rick, of Coweta, OK; one son, Paul Johnson and his wife, Tina, of Kearney, MO; two sisters, Rozella Skinner of Midwest City, OK and Treva Dockray of Cushing, OK; five grandchildren, Tyler Huddleston, Cody Huddleston, Lindsay Johnson, Garrett Huddleston and J.T. Johnson; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Doile was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Monday evening, March 28, 2011 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at the Family Worship Center, 407 S. Cherokee, Catoosa, OK 74015. Pastor Eddie Preas will officiate the service. A graveside service will be at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Ada, OK. Pallbearers are Dave Aston, Robert Young, Tom Langford, Tyler Huddleston, Cody Huddleston and Garrett Huddleston.
