Sheri Chalakee

Sheri Sue Chalakee of Coweta departed this life on Friday, November 28, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital South in Tulsa at the age of 58 years, 9 months, & 20 days. She was born on February 8, 1950 in Oakland, California to Virgus Thomas and Lucille (Persky) Miller. Sheri attended Union Public Schools in Tulsa until the 8th grade. She was a homemaker for most of her life. She and Tommy Chalakee were united in marriage on June 6, 1980 in Coweta, Oklahoma. Sheri enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her friends. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew her. Sheri was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Tommy of the home; her son, Tony Chalakee and wife, Tasha, of Tulsa; 1 brother, Leon Miller and his wife, Jan, of Coweta; 1 sister, Melissa Miller of Tulsa; 1 granddaughter, Kaelyn Chalakee; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Coweta with Rev. Bobby Jenkins officiating.
