Shelly Dawn Kalka

November 19, 2012 Shelly Dawn Kalka passed from this life surrounded by her loving family on November 8, 2012 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 46 years, 8 months and 2 days. She was born on March 10, 1966 in Springfield, MO to Rex and Loretta (Carroll) Crewse and spent her childhood in Rogers, AR. Shelly was most recently employed as a legal assistant at the firm of Jones, Gotcher & Bogan. She was a member of the Church at Battlecreek in Broken Arrow and enjoyed going on mission trips, scrapbooking, spending time with her family and friends and sitting on the beach and just enjoying the view. She was a wonderful wife, mother, friend and person and she will be dearly missed. Shelly was preceded in death by her father, Rex Crewse. She is survived by her loving husband, Pete Kalka; daughters, Emma Kalka of Seoul, South Korea and Megan Kalka of Bonita Springs, FL; son, Trey Kalka of Tulsa, OK; mother, Loretta Crewse; sister, Sherry Jenkins of Springfield, MO; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends. A Celebration of Shelly's life will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the Church at Battlecreek in Broken Arrow, OK. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial donations are made in Shelly's name to either the Laura Dester Women's Shelter (918-728-6700) or to St. Francis Hospice (918-494-6465).
