Sara Joan Gentry

Sara JoAn Gentry, age 36, resident of Porter, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday morning, October 20, 2022 in Coweta, Oklahoma. Sara was born on June 30, 1986 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Michael Lawrence and Ramona Kay (Brewer) Gentry. Sara was a 2005 graduate of Coweta High School. She was a caregiver and loved staying at home with her children. Sara enjoyed fishing, going to the casino, cooking, flowers and plants, animals, and going to the farm. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children.

Sara is survived by her mother, Mona Gentry of Porter, Oklahoma; Jason Looper and their children, Makiah Looper, Marek Looper, Myles Looper, Mikaela Looper, Mireya Looper, and Mickey Looper; her sister, Jessi Whitehead and husband Orlando of Kellyville, Oklahoma; her nephew, Landon Blu Whitehead; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Sara was preceded in death by her father, Michael “Mike” Lawrence Gentry, her infant baby brother, her paternal grandparents, Bluford and Wilma Gentry, and her maternal grandparents, Oren and Dorothy Brewer.

Visitation will be from 10:00 – 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, Oklahoma with the family present from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.  Services celebrating Sara’s life will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, Oklahoma with Rev. Brody Morris officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery in Heavener, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers are Mickey Looper, Marek Looper, Orlando Whitehead, Spencer Robinson, Coleman Gentry, Ben Gentry, and Jason Perryman.
