Sam Kammerzell

Sam Kammerzell, Jr., age 72, resident of Coweta passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, February 22, 2015 at his home in Coweta, OK surrounded by his family. Sam was born on December 18, 1942 in San Francisco, CA and is the son of LaVena and Sam Kammerzell, Sr. He married Linda Cobb on December 20, 1963 in Red Fork, OK. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Sam retired from the Iron Workers Local Union No. 584 after 37 years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time at the lake, cars and he loved spending time with his children and family. He was preceded in death by his parents. Sam is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda Kammerzell of Coweta, OK; 2 sons, Marty Kammerzell of Broken Arrow, OK and Chris Kammerzell and wife, Heather, of Tulsa, OK; 3 sisters, Geraldine Gillham and husband, Dewey, of Broken Arrow, OK, Shirley Pate of Sand Springs, OK and Jackie Duncan of Broken Arrow, OK; 8 grandchildren, Kazz Kammerzell, Julian Powers, Dominic Powers, Gabriella Stidham, Isabel Stidham, Brittnee Sanders, Chelsea Alverson and Devan Alverson; 2 nieces, Ellie Powers and husband, Jeramy, of Tulsa, OK and Jessica Stidham and husband, Cory, of Tulsa, OK; and other relatives and friends. Viewing will be from 9 AM - 8 PM on Friday, February 27, 2015 at the funeral home. Services celebrating Sam's life will be at 2 PM on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Pastor Eric Priest officiating.
