October 29, 2011 Salvador Olivarez, Jr., 48, passed away October 26, 2011 in Tulsa. He was born August 14, 1963 in Lockney, TX to Salvador and Aurora (Morales) Olivarez. Sal graduated from Shamrock, TX High School in 1981. A maintenance supervisor, Sal had a passion for coaching kids. He loved landscaping, March Madness, O.U football, O.S.U. basketball, tinkering, family get-togethers, and especially his sons. He married Lisa Mercier October 16, 1992. In addition to his parents, Sal is survived by Lisa Mercier; sons:
Zachariah Olivarez and Cody Aaron Morton; grandson Gavin Lee Morton; siblings:
Yolanda Pierce and brother-in-law James of Coweta, Daniel Pierce and sister-in-law Janet of Broken Arrow, David Olivarez of Coweta, Leo Olivarez and sister-in-law Susan of Claremore, Luis Olivarez and Tim Larned of Haskell, TX; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Bequests may be directed to the Coach Sal Award, care of RCB Bank, 1727 S. Hwy. 66, Catoosa, OK 74015, 918.384.1807.
