Ruth J. Vaughn of Coweta, age 89, a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, grandmother and aunt, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday afternoon, October 11, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. She was born on October 31, 1921 in Braggs, OK and was the daughter of Jefferson Stonewall and Fannie May (Mason) Jay. In 1967, Ruth moved to the Coweta area from Haskell, OK. Ruth was married to her beloved husband, Walter Eugene Vaughn on October 11, 1984 in Coweta, OK. She was a wonderful homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family. Ruth enjoyed fishing, camping, crocheting, babysitting and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Ruth is lovingly survived by her husband of 27 years, Walter Eugene Vaughn of the home; her son, Clyde Pervelden Taylor and his wife, Mary Kay, of Cameron, OK; her two daughters, Rachel Evelyn Collins of Coweta, OK and Frances Ruth Vaughn and her husband, James, of Coweta, OK; her three sisters, Jewell Jay, Mildred Garrett and Marie Cole, all of Coweta, OK; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one sister and three grandchildren. Funeral services for Ruth will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at New Bethel Assembly of God, 24918 E. 111th St., Broken Arrow, OK 74014. Pastor Dan Haase and Rev. Don Whitby will officiate the service. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. Pallbearers are Dwight Leopard, Bryan Johnson, Gene Taylor, David Vaughn, Eugene Taylor Jr. and Bobby Taylor. The family of Ruth J.
