Russell Gene Williams, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2024, at the age of 63.
Born on April 1, 1961, in Kansas City, Missouri, Russell was raised in the close-knit community of Piney, Oklahoma. He attended high school in Stilwell, OK, where he developed a strong work ethic and a deep love for his family and faith. At the age of 18, Russell married the love of his life, Lisa Ann, and together they built a life centered around family and faith. They made their home in Broken Arrow, OK, where they raised their two sons, Aaron and Ryan, before later settling in Coweta, OK.
Russell was a skilled plumber who worked for both Mullin Plumbing and Williams Plumbing for many years. He took immense pride in his craft and always put the needs of his family before his own. Known for his big personality and even bigger heart, Russell loved deeply and showed true care for those around him, leaving a lasting impact on everyone he met. His infectious joy radiated to all, whether he was sharing stories, playing catch with his sons in the backyard, or strumming his guitar on the couch.
His deep faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of his life. Russell lived out his faith through acts of kindness, offering counsel and a listening ear to those in need. His presence left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Above all, Russell cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a beloved grandfather to seven grandchildren. His love for his family knew no bounds, and his legacy of compassion, humor, and faith will live on in the hearts of his loved ones.
Russell is survived by his wife, Lisa Williams; his two sons, Aaron Williams and wife Carolyn, Ryan Williams and wife Ashlee, all of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his parents, Carl and Gail Williams of Westville, OK; his brother, Steve Williams and wife Regina of Wagoner, OK; his sisters, Gwenda Eagleton and husband David, and Teresa Williams, both of Westville, OK; and seven grandchildren: Corbin, Claire, Audra, Ayva, Ava, Bryce, and Carly. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Pat Tackett of Coweta, OK, as well as many extended family members and friends who were touched by his generosity and kindness.
A memorial service to celebrate Russell’s life will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Coweta Assembly of God Church, located at 29707 E. Hwy 51, Coweta, OK 74429.
