Russell Antone "Tony" Sesso

Russell Antone “Tony” Sesso, age 55, resident of Kansas, Oklahoma departed this life on Sunday evening, May 9, 2021 at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  Tony was born on November 13, 1965 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and was the son of Nick F. Sesso and Jean Ann (Webb) Fulbright.  He attended school in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Moore, Oklahoma.  After high school, he joined the United States Army.  Tony was employed by a major golf course in Moore, Oklahoma while attending high school.  He later was employed at Forest Ridge Golf Course in Broken Arrow where he maintained the greens.  Tony was the supervisor of maintenance for the City of Broken Arrow for many years.  He also worked as a sales technician at Mother Nature, Inc.  Tony was a member of First Baptist Church in Broken Arrow and was a very spiritual person.  He enjoyed Les Feldick Ministries.  Tony excelled in sports, particularly baseball and wrestling.  He won three major wrestling tournaments including City of Tulsa and Jr. Olympics.  He thoroughly enjoyed fishing, OU football, Dallas Cowboys, and was a huge fan of girls’ softball.  He loved his family, especially his daughter, Kayla.

Tony is survived by his daughter, Kayla Newman of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his mother, Jean Fulbright of Kansas, Oklahoma; his father, Nick Sesso of Kansas, Oklahoma; his sister, Keli Walker of Kansas, Oklahoma; his aunt & uncle, Nita and Rick Ritschel of Kansas, Oklahoma; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Tony was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his uncle, Jerry Webb.

A memorial service celebrating Tony’s life will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, June 18, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
