Roy Gerald Woodward

Roy Gerald Woodward, age 82, longtime Coweta resident of Coweta went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday morning, January 10, 2019 at his home in Coweta, OK surrounded by his family. Roy was born on January 4, 1937 in Cushing, OK and was the son of Elbert Woodward and Leona "Midge" (Hefley) Todd. He was a 1956 graduate of Coweta High School. Roy married the love of his life, Wanda Lee Easley on July 26, 1957 in Coweta, OK. Roy had many occupations through the years. He worked at the family saw mill, he was a commercial fisherman, a barber, a machinist at Braden Winch and he retired from TK International as an Inspector. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and attending the youth bowfishing banquet and the youth bowfishing championship. Roy and his wife, Wanda loved traveling and going to Colorado. He loved his family very much and will be greatly missed by everyone. Roy is survived by his son, Randy Woodward and wife, Debbie of Coweta, OK; his son-in-law, Terence Terry of Coweta, OK; 5 grandchildren, Jamie Shieldnight and husband, Rex, Brian Woodward and wife, Laci, Justin Terry and wife, Erin, Josh Terry and wife, Chelsea and Jeff Terry and wife, Candace; 15 great grandchildren, Brier, Stormie, Paislee, Maddie, Tessa, Bubba, Aidan, Jason, Weston, Emma, Tarynn, Taytum, Taylor, Owen and Terran; his sister-in-law, Christine Todd; his brother-in-law, Delmar Easley; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Lee Woodward in 2015, his father, Elbert Woodward, his mother, Leona "Midge" Todd and his daughter, Brenda Terry. Viewing will be from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Brown Family Funeral Home. Services celebrating Roy's life will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Coweta, OK with Rev. Brody Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK. Pallbearers are Brian Woodward, Justin Terry, Josh Terry, Jeff Terry, Rex Shieldnight and Jason Young. Honorary Pallbearers are Dean Jarman, Jim McDuffie, Frank Baucom, Delbert Sloan, Delmar Easley and Russell Gadlage.
