Roy Delos "R.D." Evans

Roy Delos "R.D." Evans, age 80, of Coweta went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday afternoon, April 29, 2017 at his home in Coweta, OK. R.D. was born on April 30, 1936 to Roy and Grace Lorene (Dickey) Evans in Okemah, OK. He was a 1954 graduate of Liberty Mounds High School. R.D. was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He and Betty Jane Mulkey were married on April 7, 1956 in Bixby, OK. R.D. was a home builder and rancher for 40 years. He was a member and served as President of the Jaycees Foundation in Bixby, OK. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and going to their ballgames. R.D. was preceded in death by his parents and 1 daughter, Karen Evans. R.D. is lovingly survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty Evans of the home in Coweta, OK; 2 daughters, Cindy Moore and husband, David of Coweta, OK and Angie Raunikar and husband, Roy of Haskell, OK; 1 son, Doug Evans and wife, Christy of Coweta, OK; 2 sisters, Dorothy Mae Deaton of Decatur, TX and Patricia Ann Sharp of Wagoner, OK; 8 grandchildren, Jeremy Moore, Brandon Moore, Garrett Moore, Sheena Raunikar, Sarah Raunikar, Evan Raunkiar, Dakota Evans and Savannah Evans; 4 great grandchildren, Gavin Moore, Easton Moore, Tori Moore and Cooper Self; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Viewing will be from 9 AM - 8 PM on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8 PM. Services celebrating R.D.'s life will be at 1 PM on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at the Coweta Assembly of God in Coweta, OK with Shawn Billeter officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Bixby Cemetery in Bixby, OK. Pallbearers are Jeremy Moore, Brandon Moore, Garrett Moore, Evan Raunikar, Dakota Evans and Jay Sharp. Honorary Pallbearers are Ron Mulkey, Norman Wagnon, Greg Wagnon, Jeff Wagnon, Ryan Wagnon, Hunter Davis, Chris Molina and Eddie French.
