Rosellen Linn

Rosellen "Rosie" Linn, of Coweta, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital at the age of 74 years, 9 months and 8 days. She was born on March 1, 1936 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Edward Andrew and Urcy "Kit" (Redding) Linn. Rosie grew up and attended school in Sayre, Oklahoma. In 1979, she moved to Coweta where she has made her home for the past 31 years. Rosie was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed crafts, needlework and collecting cans and money. Rosie was a family oriented person and loved her nieces and nephews. She has a hall named after her at Coweta Manor Nursing Home named "Linn Boulevard." Rosie is survived by her sister, Kathryn Gillenwater and husband Bert of Coweta, OK; her brother, Wylie Linn and wife Carla of Wichita Falls, TX; her brother, James Lynn and wife Leann of Vernon, TX; her sister, Helen Martin and partner Joyce Powell of Bedford, TX; nieces and nephews, Dennis Gillenwater of Coweta, OK, Juanita Edwards of Tulsa, OK, Margaret Gillenwater of Tulsa, OK, Sharon Reed and husband Terry of Porter, OK, Diana Fletcher and husband Garry of Holiday Island, AR, Carol Parker and husband Robert of Tulsa, OK, Cheryl Bolding and husband James of Wichita Falls, TX, Carl Linn and wife Tina of Wichita Falls, TX, Gary Linn of San Antonio, TX, Michael Martin and wife Christy of Bedford, TX; great nieces and nephews, Daren Young of Coweta, OK, Jason Gillenwater and wife Lisa of Ocean Springs, MS, Jeff Edwards and wife Jenni of Bixby, OK, Les Reed of Thornton, CO, Annie Gillenwater-Rankin of Coweta, OK, Amanda Voyles and husband Rusty of Coweta, OK, Julie Edwards of Munroe, MI, Lauren, Lindsey, Maddison and Michael Fletcher of Holiday Island, AR, Garrett Linn of Wichita Falls, TX, Nicole Linn of Wichita Falls, TX, Sydney Linn of Wichita Falls, TX, DJ Blair of Wichita Falls, TX, Chloe Linn of San Antonio, TX, Andrew Compton of Vian, OK; great-great nieces and nephews, Lane Gillenwater and Caitlin Gillenwater of Ocean Springs, MS, Allison, Maggie, Lucas, and Evie Edwards of Bixby, OK, Ava Voyles of Coweta, OK. Rosie was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 13, 2010 at Wright Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Pastor Garry Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK.
