On January 10, 1934 in Shamrock Oklahoma, Rosella Sharon Austin was born to Robert and Pearl Austin. She was the second born child to the union.
Rosella gave her life to God at an early age. She attended a Methodist church in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She started her education in Bartlesville, Oklahoma in the Douglas school system, and graduated from Douglas High School. She then went off to college in Topeka, Kansas and then furthered her education at Sacramento College to become an English teacher.
She worked at Oak Ridge Elementary School for over 30 + years. She loved writing poems, drawing, fishing, eating at her favorite place The Golden Corral, singing in the church choir, teaching the young folks about God, and spending time with her family and church family. Rosella married her first husband, George Murray Sr. and had two children, a daughter, Romena Murray and a son, George Murray Jr. Later on, she married her high school sweetheart Buel Sayles and they have a daughter, Maria Murray. She enjoyed her time with her husband, Buel watching old western movies and her favorite Texas Ranger. After the passing of her beloved husband, Buel she moved back to California to be with her children and grandkids.
On the evening of May 11, 2022, God called her home to live eternally with him. God gave her a new glorified body and she received her crown of glory.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buel Sayles, father, Robert Austin, mother, Pearl Wells, sister, Terri Ann Dukes, brother, Ural Brown, daughter, Genevia Murray, and granddaughter, Salina Murray.
Rosella leaves to cherish her legacy of her daughter, Romena Murray, son, George Murray Jr., stepchildren, Buel Sayles Jr., Jackie Sayles, Ray Sayles and wife Sophia, Jerry Sayles, Craig Sayles, Anita Sayles Carey and husband James, Ester Sayles, Joseph Sayles, Bobby Sayles, Selina Sayles, and Mylisa Sayles, granddaughters, Chanel Thornton, Toni Bibins, and Chocolate Drop Dana Sanders, great grandchildren, Makaylah Gowans, Vonteets Holmes, Neveah Thornton, Janiya Bibins, Jestine Bibins, great-great grand baby, A’aniyah Boyce, sisters, Linda Sandford, Charlene Hollaway, and Robin Wells, brother, Robert Austin Jr., and nephews, nieces, and a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, cousins and friends.
