Rose Marie Horn

Rose Marie Horn, age 89, Coweta resident went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 8, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital South in Tulsa, OK. Rose was born on February 11, 1930 in Sequoyah County, OK and was the daughter of George Washington and Bessie (Stout) Webster. She received her education at Evening Shade schools. She and Earl Horn were married on May 10, 1947 in Stilwell, OK. They moved to Coweta in 1969 from Blackgum, OK. Rose was a devoted homemaker who loved caring for her family. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Coweta, OK. Rose was a woman of faith who loved the Lord with all her heart. She enjoyed reading, gardening, quilting, embroidery work, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Rose is survived by three daughters, Gayle Dill and husband Buddy of Checotah, OK, Janet Watson and husband Stan of Broken Arrow, OK, and Ann Moss of Coweta, OK; six grandchildren, Joyce Herrington and husband Walter, David Martin and companion Amber, Amy Brown and husband Brian, Matthew Moss and wife Angie, Lee Dale Moss, and Greg Watson and wife Carolyn; eleven great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Horn; her parents, George Washington and Bessie Webster; five brothers, Jim, Jack, Sherman, Vester, and Bus; and six sisters, Cass, Ruth, Ollie, Mary, Daisy, and Doll. Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Brown Family Funeral Home with the family present to receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Services celebrating Rose's life will be at Blackgum First Baptist Church in Vian, OK with Keno Shrum officiating. Burial will follow in Box Cemetery in Vian, OK. Pallbearers are David Martin, Lee Moss, Matt Moss, Bo Webster, Jake Keeler, and Matthew Moss.
