Rose Dunn

Rose Marie "Rosie" Dunn, age 75, of Coweta, OK, a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, July 13, 2013 at Coweta Manor Nursing Home in Coweta, OK. Rose was born on December 15, 1937 in Quinton, OK and was the daughter of George and Effie (Poole) Conner. Rose and David Dunn were united in marriage on November 28, 1959 in Coweta, OK. She worked at Otasco as an accounting clerk for around 8 years. Rose was also a homemaker for most of her life. Rose was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Coweta. She enjoyed fishing, dancing and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Rose is survived by her husband of 53 years, David Dunn of the home; her son, Joe Dunn of Choctaw, OK; her daughter, Joyce Arnold and husband, Richard, of Coweta, OK; 2 grandchildren, Rocky Arnold and wife, Jackie and Jesse Arnold; 6 great grandchildren, Owen, Brady, Jacob, Thomas, Garon and Layla; 6 half-brothers and sisters, Jackie Conner, Judy Davis, Tommy Conner, Jesse Conner, Linda Murphy and Trena Bagwell; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Rose was preceded in death by her parents and 1 half-sister, Carolyn Brown and 2 half-brothers, Duane Conner and J.D. Conner. Visitation will be held Monday, July 15, 2013 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Tuesday, July 16, 2013 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK with Rev. Ed Rutherford officiating.
