Broken Arrow

Ronnie Steve Mananu, age 54, resident of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, a cherished husband, father, son, and brother, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 3, 2024, at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on August 14, 1970, in Uganda, Africa. Ronnie's life was a testament to his unwavering spirit and the love he shared with those around him.

Ronnie's early years were spent in the vibrant city of Kampala, Uganda, where he attended Bat Valley Primary School and Old Kampala Senior Secondary School. His passion for knowledge and skill development led him to Kyambogo Technical College, where he earned a degree in Electrical Engineering. Ronnie's dedication to his community was evident through his work at Kampala Pentecostal Church in the administration department, his service with the AVL Technical department, and his participation in church planting missions across Uganda. His love for music shone brightly as he played the drums for the worship team and worked as a sound engineer for Solid Rock Entertainment.

In 2009, Ronnie embarked on a new chapter of his life when he relocated to the United States, settling in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with his beloved family. His commitment to serving others continued as he worked at Bios as a Job Coach Specialist, supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Later, he joined Cintas, providing essential services to businesses across the region. Ronnie's entrepreneurial spirit led him to start his own transportation service in 2021, a venture he pursued until his health began to decline in 2022.

Ronnie's faith was a cornerstone of his life. He attended Victory Church in Tulsa and later became an integral part of Tulsa International Fellowship, where he served on the worship team as a drummer and sound technician. His return to Victory Church in 2020 was marked by the same dedication and joy he brought to every aspect of his life.

Ronnie's love for life extended to his hobbies, which included fishing and watching sports. He was an avid fan of football, tennis, track and field, basketball, and swimming. His enthusiasm for these activities was infectious, and he often shared these moments with his friends and family.

Ronnie's legacy is carried on by his devoted wife, Esther Mananu; his loving children, Moshe and Michael Mananu; his father, Mr. Sam Frank Udara; and his siblings, Noel, Benson, Innocent, Aguma, Evelyn, Robert Patience, Christine, Timothy, Elizabeth, Reagan, Michael, and Melissa. He was preceded in death by his sister, Esther, and his brother, Robert. Ronnie's presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.

Ronnie's life was a beacon of love, service, and faith, and his impact will continue to resonate with all who were blessed to know him.
