Ronald Dean Tiger, age 86, longtime resident of Broken Arrow entered into the Gates of Heaven on Friday morning, March 25, 2022 at his home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma surrounded by his family. Dean was born on November 20, 1935 in Lamar, Oklahoma to Barney James “B.J.” and Estelle (Key) Tiger. He received his education at Greasy Creek Schools and Wetumka Public Schools. Dean married the love of his life, Lois Mae Booze on June 10, 1954. He worked as a paint and body technician at Ernie Miller Pontiac and retired from Fred Jones Lincoln-Mercury. Dean was a founding member of Sequoyah Creek Church (formerly Faith Baptist Church) in Broken Arrow. He loved sharing the gospel of his Savior Jesus Christ. Dean enjoyed playing dominoes, hunting, fishing, and telling stories. He loved his family and was a great husband, father, grandpa, and a man of God.
Dean is survived by his wife, Lois Mae Tiger of the home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his daughters, Joy (Tiger) Cheatwood and her husband Randy Cheatwood of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Melody (Tiger) Gregory and her husband Mitchell Gregory of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his son-in-law, Rusty Chadwell of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Matthew Hensinger and his wife Heather Hensinger, Marcus Hensinger, Ashley Hackbirth, Lucas Cheatwood and his wife Courtney Cheatwood, Chase Cheatwood and his wife Amanda Cheatwood, and Nathaniel Lewis and his wife Sarah Faith Lewis; twelve great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Barney James “B.J.” and Estelle Tiger; his daughter, Gayla (Tiger) Chadwell; his sister, Pat Brown; and his grandchildren, Lance Chadwell and Carrie Harrison.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Sequoyah Creek Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Services celebrating Dean’s life will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 1, 2022 at Sequoyah Creek Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Dean will be laid to rest at 2:00 PM at Wetumka Cemetery in Wetumka, Oklahoma.
