January 1, 2013 Robert Lee Taylor passed from this life on December 27, 2012 at his home in Catoosa, OK surrounded by his loving family at the age of 83 years, 1 month and 7 days. He was born on November 20, 1929 in Lancaster, PA to Levi and Bernice (Aston) Taylor. On May 5, 1952, Robert married Audrey Lurene Johnson and left to serve our country in the United States Army 17 days later. When he returned, Robert and Lurene started their family and he worked as a plumbing contractor for the most part of his life. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Catoosa, a Mason and an Auxiliary Catoosa Police Officer. Robert enjoyed golfing, his dogs and making others laugh. He was a true comedian and some would say he was even a bit ornery. Robert was an amazing husband, father and grandfather and he will be missed dearly. HE was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Vivian. Robert is survived by his wife, Lurene Taylor of Catoosa, OK; daughter Jeri Webb and companion, David Morrison of Fayetteville, AR;
grandsons, Robert Webb and Thomas Webb of Fayetteville, AR; sisters, Naomi Sappington of Tulsa, OK and Pauline Wilson of AK; and numerous other family members and friends. Visitation will be held from 1-4 on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at the Kennedy-Kennard Funeral Home in Catoosa, OK and a Funeral Service will be held at 10 o'clock Monday, December 31, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Catoosa, OK with Interment with Military Honors to follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, OK.
