Robert N. 'Bob' Rundell

Robert N. "Bob" Rundell, age 86, longtime Coweta resident passed away on Tuesday morning, March 3, 2015 in Broken Arrow, OK. Bob was born on January 2, 1929 to Herbert M. and Lena V. Rundell in Marlow, OK. He was a graduate of Coweta High School. Bob and Loretta Sanders were married on July 9, 1949 in Van Buren, AR. He owned and operated Home Lumber Company in Coweta for many years and then went to work at Co-op in Coweta for 10 years until he retired. Bob was a member of Shahan Freewill Baptist Church in Coweta. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading and woodworking. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert M. and Lena V. Rundell, his son, Alan Lee Rundell and his sister, Loretta Fern Kindley. Bob is survived by his wife of 65 years, Loretta Rundell; his daughter, Bobbie Cole of Overland Park, KS; his daughter-in-law, Tammy Denise Rundell of Nevada, MO; his sister, Doris Jean Turner of Muskogee, OK; 2 grandchildren, Joshua Robert Cole and Geneva Marie Rundell; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Viewing will be from 12 PM - 8 PM on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the funeral home with the family being present from 6 - 8 PM. Funeral services celebrating Bob's life will be at 10 AM on Friday, March 6, 2015 at Shahan Freewill Baptist Church in Coweta, OK with Rev. Lynn Moss officiating. Burial will follow in Shahan Cemetery in Coweta, OK. Pallbearers are Robbie Morton, David Blair, Chuck Kindley, Billy Turner, Bub Sanders and Gary Sanders.
