Robert Lee Goree, Jr., age 59, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at his home in Haskell, Oklahoma. He was born on June 4, 1964, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was a man of great humor and joy, frequently the source of laughter and smiles among those who knew him.
Robert attended High School in Haskell, where he established the foundation of a life filled with hard work and strong community ties. He was known for his work ethic as a construction and asphalt worker, but also for his dedication to his craft and passion for cars. Racing, building, and working on cars were more than hobbies; they were integral parts of who he was. Robert attended First Baptist Church in Haskell. He loved to swim, and it was a relaxing pastime that he enjoyed.
Robert is survived by his only daughter, Keyyonia Latasha Goree of Kansas City, Missouri, his cherished grandson Kelan Dean, and a multitude of siblings who will remember him fondly. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Goree, Sr., and Sandra Louise (Hopson) Goree, along with his great grandmother, Helen, and siblings who welcome him to his heavenly home.
Robert's laughter and warmth filled the lives of those around him and he will be greatly missed. His memory will be treasured and kept alive in the stories shared and the lives he touched.
