Robert L. Dobbins

Robert L. Dobbins, age 69, of Haskell passed from this life on Tuesday morning, May 6, 2008 at Haskell Manor Nursing Home. Robert was born on January 2, 1939 in San Jose, California to John K. and Clara (Cochran) Dobbins. He received his education in the Coweta, Oklahoma school system. Robert and Julia Carmichael were united in marriage on December 24, 1959 in Coweta, Oklahoma. Robert was a factory worker for Haskell Foods and Bush Brothers for 13 years until his retirement in 1995. His hobbies included fishing, music, and watching the television. Survivors include his wife, Julia, of the home; one son, Robert Dobbins, Jr. of Haskell, Oklahoma; two daughters, Sherril Hammontree and her husband, Robert of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Lisa Enright of Morris, Oklahoma; one brother, Johnny Ray Dobbins of Coweta, Oklahoma; one sister, Francis Friend of Huggins, Missouri; six grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, and one sister. A Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma with Rev. Dee Couch of Landmark Church officiating. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Wright Funeral Home.
